The Queen Mary
Relive a bygone era as you tour the grandest ocean liner to sail the seas. View elegant staterooms, look for ghosts in the first class pool, and visit the Titanic exhibition. There is also a Cold War era submarine docked next door that is open to the public. Guests planning to visit the Queen Mary and the Aquarium in the same day can purchase a combined ticket package at either location.

Catalina Island
Take a ferry ride over to Catalina and discover an enchanting island. Hop on a bus for a tour of the island’s interior, including bald eagles and wild buffalo, discover the city’s history or join an undersea tour to explore a whole other world. On this island itself, there are plenty of activities for your family or group – hiking, swimming, biking, camping, snorkeling and much more.

Catalina Express runs ferry service from ports in Long Beach and San Pedro to Catalina all year long. The trip takes approximately one hour. Gondola Cruises
The beautiful waterways of Huntington Harbor are ideal for a romantic Gondola ride. Take in the stunning views of million dollar homes, magnificent yachts and enchanting scenery as you are guided along by an opera-singing gondolier. Aquarium of the Pacific
Experience the wonder of one of the world’s largest aquariums. This expansive venue is home to more than 12,500 creatures, representing the three areas of the Pacific - sunny Southern California and Baja, the frigid waters of the North Pacific, and the colorful reefs of the Tropical Pacific. Come face to face with over 500 species, including 150 sharks (some you can touch, some you can't), sea horses, sea lions, moray eels, moon jellies, and even tropical birds in the Lorikeet Forest. Bowers Museum of Cultural Art
Orange County’s largest museum, Bowers Museum is dedicated to promoting understanding of various cultures from around the world. International Surfing Museum

Newland House Museum
Built in 1898, Newland House is the city’s oldest and best-preserved residence. La Brea Tar Pits
Rancho La Brea Tar Pits are located in the heart of Los Angeles, and is one of the most famous fossil sites in the world. Since 1906, more than one million bones have been received, including vertebrates, plants and invertebrates. Visitors to The Page Museum at the Tar Pits can view exhibits, including reconstructed animal skeletons such as Dire Wolves and Saber Tooth Tigers, a glass-walled working laboratory, hands-on displays, photo and painted murals on history and films.

Grauman’s Chinese Theater
Undoubtedly one of the most famous attractions in Los Angeles, this icon among theaters has been the scene of star-studded events since its opening in 1927. Along with its stunning and unique design, Grauman’s Forecourt to the Stars is filled with the footprints of Hollywood’s elite, starting with the first ceremony in 1927 with Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks to Marilyn Monroe, Bing Crosby, Sidney Poitier, Arnold Schwarzenegger and many more.

Griffith Observatory
Since 1935 the Griffith Observatory has attracted millions of visitors to its extraordinary facility. Newly reopened after a multi-million dollar renovation, the Observatory includes a Planetarium, public telescopes, educational exhibits and a multi-media theater. Hollywood Walk of Fame
The pink stars with bronze emblems represent a chronological history of the Hollywood-based entertainment industry and honor those who have made significant contributions. Since 1960, more than 2,000 stars have been embedded into the street along Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street.

The Hollywood Sign
This world-famous sign sits upon Mount Lee, the highest peak in Los Angeles. Located at Beachwood Canyon Drive and Glen Holly Drive.

UCLA
Less than three miles from the hotel is one of the most well-known colleges in the world. Tours of the 419-acre campus are available.

Westwood
This upscale neighborhood just a few miles from Hyatt Regency is home to UCLA, The Hammer Museum, shopping and famous attractions. Fairfax District
One of the historic districts just 10 minutes from Hyatt Regency, this area is home to one of the most popular farmer’s market in all of LA, located on Fairfax Ave and 3rd. The area also boasts CBS Television City, as well as The Grove, an outdoor entertainment and retail complex, and the Beverly Center.

The Annenberg Space for Photography

The Music Center
One of the nation’s largest performing arts complexes in the country, the Music Center is comprised of four separate venues housing multiple companies:

  • Dorothy Chandler Pavilion – home of the Los Angeles Opera and the Music Center Dance.
  • Walt Disney Concert Hall – new home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Los Angeles Master Chorale.
  • Ahmanson Theatre and Mark Taper Forum – both part of the Center Theatre Group. The Ahmanson Theater has presented dramas, comedies and classic revivals for over 40 years. The Mark Taper Forum is best known for bringing new productions to the stage, many of which go on to receive Tony Awards.

Getty Center
Sitting in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, this 110-acre complex includes a museum, research complex and conservation institute. The museum galleries each have a different collection focusing on European drawings, paintings, sculpture, illustrated manuscripts and decorative arts, as well as photography.

Natural History Museum
The largest natural and historical museum in the western United States, the museum contains more than 33 million specimens in its collection. Permanent exhibitions include recreations of dinosaurs, dioramas of African and American mammals, pre-Columbian culture and memorabilia and artifacts depicting the history of California, the Southwest and Hollywood.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art
With more than 100,000 pieces of art in its collection, this is the largest encyclopedic museum west of Chicago. View European masterpieces, contemporary art, art from the United States and Latin America, an Islamic art collection, a comprehensive Korean art collection and the Pavilion for Japanese art.

Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens
Situated on 113 acres in Griffith Park, the zoo is home to more than 1,200 animals from around the world and more than 7,400 plants.

The Greek Theatre
